Privacy Laws and Business (PL&B) help organisations integrate data protection and privacy law . Following a recommendation from EPiServer who knew of our reputation for technology-focused solutions, they approached us to redesign their website and upgrade their EPiServer content management system.

We're experienced with most content management solutions, and always match business need and budget with the most appropriate system. But in this case, PL&B were already happily using EPiServer (CMS4). However, after using this enterprise-scale solution for a number of years, the time came for them to upgrade to the latest version. At the same time. PL&B wanted to redesign their website to reflect their new branding.

We started the project from the ground up, overhauling the site architecture before planning a new user experience (UX) across a new website. The upgrade path from EPiServer CMS4 to CMS6 was not quite so simple because the current system had bespoke ecommerce functionality built in to it over the years. Also during the development, large parts of the system had to be completely rewritten due to fundamental changes in the .NET framework.

The result however was worth it and we added new functionality in the form of the EPiServer Mail module. We linked this with PL&B's membership system so the company could send personalised and targeted emails to subscribers.
